James fardoulys:
a queensland naive artist

James fardoulys emigrated from greece in 1914 and as a young man led a
colourful life travelling and working throughout queensland. he did not begin
painting seriously until his retirement but, during his short artistic career,
fardoulys became one of the most prominent and widely appreciated naive
painters in australia. this exhibition was sponsored by fardoulys constructions.
the xstrata coal queensland artists’ gallery featured the work of several queensland artists in 2010.
