‘figure, form and allegory’ explores the gallery’s holdings of sculptures
from the late nineteenth century to the modern era, illustrating the
evolution of sculptural approaches to form and space. withstanding
changes in artistic approaches, materials and methods of exhibition,
figurative sculpture remains a well-loved tradition.
Visitors are invited to sketch from the sculptures with pencil and paper provided in the exhibition space.
