Scott
Redford: Introducing Reinhardt
Dammn
was a stand-alone,
collectable, double-sided publication
featuring spectacular imagery,
essays and diverse content relating
to redford and his work in the format
of a surf magazine.
the gallery produced the first
publication on the artist James
fardoulys for the exhibition ‘James
fardoulys: a queensland naive artist’
(27 march – 20 June 2010).
The Premier of Queensland’s National
New Media Art Award 2010
publication
featured the innovative work of leading
new media artists who participated in
the 2010 award exhibition and included
illustrated essays on each of the short-
listed artists.
Joe Rootsey: Queensland Aboriginal
Artist 1918–63
included essay
contributions from curator bruce
mcLean and anthropologist dr diane
hafner. the publication explored
rootsey’s life as a stockman and his
career as an artist, and the social and
political conditions prevailing at the
time. this was the first publication on
Joe alimindjin rootsey — one of the
first indigenous people in queensland
to be recognised as an artist.
souvenir brochures were produced for
the xstrata coal queensland artist
gallery exhibitions.
a number of excerpts from selected
publications were also made
available online.
