Making a bequest
If you are considering making a bequest to the Gallery, we invite you
to discuss your intentions with us. This will let us thank you personally,
ensure that your specific wishes are understood and help us plan
confidently for the future. All such discussions will be treated with
appropriate confidentiality.
Your solicitor can provide further assistance. If you have an existing
Will and would like to update it to include a bequest, the Gallery
can provide you with a codicil form to amend, rather than replace,
a previously executed Will.
To include the Gallery in your Will, the following wording may be used:
‘I bequeath [insert details of cash contribution, description of items
or portion of residuary estate] to the Queensland Art Gallery Board
of Trustees.’
