extend my thanks to all gallery’s staff
and volunteers for their extraordinary
efforts and enthusiasm over the year.

the gallery’s exhibition and program

2010 has been an incredible year,
with an annual attendance of over
1.8 million visitors across the two
buildings. this increase on last
year of more than 800 000 visitors
confirms that audiences have been
enthusiastic about the exhibitions
and programs we have offered. it is
this extraordinary engagement with
existing and new audiences
that keeps us going from strength
to strength.
the annual Review publication is
our opportunity to reflect on the
highlights of the year and thank
all our partners and supporters for
sharing our philosophy of bringing
people and art together. as you read
through this 2010 Review, i believe
you will see what a truly remarkable
year it has been.
