Among them, José Da Silva, Senior Curator, Australian
Cinémathèque, has approached this exhibition with a sensitivity
and depth of understanding that only comes from an intimate
knowledge of the Collection and of this group of artists,
many previously involved in the APT, and I warmly congratulate
him on the outcome.
As ‘Earth and Elsewhere’ invites us to reflect on our Collection
and the way it has developed in recent times, it also signals the
innumerable ways we can use it to translate ideas, recollect
events or emotions and understand different perspectives, and
in turn, how we can use these experiences to better connect
with one another.
