California Design - Opening weekend: Saturday 2 & Sunday 3 November
The Queensland Art Gallery's summer exhibition 'California Design 1930–1965: Living in a Modern Way' is the first major study of California's role in shaping international material culture, organised by Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).

This exhibition reveals the iconic designs that emerged in mid-20th century California, from the innovative furniture of Charles and Ray Eames to the original Barbie doll and the classic symbol of the casual western lifestyle, Levi's 501 Jeans. Read more
