MEET THE KANGAROO CREW
I’m TREEZ, the
TREE kangaroo
I live in the canopy of the
rainforest.
I am quite shy and
often hide from visitors.
I use my long, curved claws
to grip
onto the tree branches so I don’t fall.
My favourite foods are leaves
and fruit,
but sometimes I will
eat ferns, flowers, grass shoots,
moss and bark.
I have a long, swinging tail but
when I hop on the ground,
my
tail curls up towards the sky.
Tree kangaroos like me are very
special because
we are the only
type of kangaroo that is able
to jump backwards!

18 metres from the
treetops to the
ground without
getting hurt!
