A WORLD VIEW: THE TIM FAIRFAX GIFT PART 2 3 DECEMBER 2016 – 17 APRIL 2017 GALLERY OF MODERN ART The second phase of ‘A World View: The Tim Fairfax Gift’ was headlined by Crossing 2016, an incredible commission by renowned British-born, New York-based artist Anthony McCall. This immersive work builds on McCall’s many years developing large-scale ‘solid light’ sculptures. In a darkened space, visitors walk through seemingly tangible projections of light and haze as the sound of waves washes over them.
