Annual Review 2016

This exhibition of the work of senior Kaiadilt artist Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori, from Bentinck Island in Queensland's Gulf of Carpentaria, included the artist's early paintings, her large collaborative works with other Kaiadilt women, and her almost monochromatic late paintings and works on paper. Sally Gabori's abstract depictions of her homeland retain representational elements, mapping traditional country and cultural identity in these monumental paintings.
